As bloggers, beauty enthusiasts or plain skincare hoarders, we are accustomed to picking up random bits from a new skincare line and giving them a try once in a while. This time around, I have the full range from DHC's latest collection 'Beauty Lift'. A Japanese skincare line known particularly for it's cleansing oil, I was looking forward to see how it worked for my skin. To start off with, the packaging is simply beautiful. An ombre white and pink, with a hint of gold - uber classy. At the same time, it's light-weight, well packaged and travel-friendly. I would definitely pack the Beauty Essence when I'm travelling next.
Overall the skincare line is designed to give skin a 'lift' hence the name. Whizzing through the ingredients, I found that it contains some great anti-ageing pick me ups. Stuff (a scientific term) that helps skin maintain it's natural moisture and avoid loss of water. Most of its ingredients are also known for their calming and anti-inflammatory properties, giving a huge thumbs up to my sensitive skin sisters. As I reach closer to the big thirty milestone, such skincare definitely sounds more appealing and worth an investment.
Let's try and describe the texture and feel of these products to you. All of them feel super light on the skin and have an immediate effect in some way. You will instantly see skin hydrated, glossy or calming down from any aggravations. An important bit is that they have no fragrance to them whatsoever, which I actually found a little weird to begin with as I'm so used to sniffing all my skin care (and food & beverage, hah). The textures are modern, blend in well with other skincare, make a good base for make-up to glide on, actually feel like a skin 'detox', do not disturb skin's balance and are a dream to use daily. Basically, flawless.
