This blog was originally created for a few purposes. Firstly, I started writing it to keep my eye on the bigger picture. To focus on the goal, being the production of the Untitled Horror Feature.
The other main purpose was to (hopefully) help teach other aspiring film makers. Even if that turns out to be a 'What Not To Do' in a few months, or with the musings on Cherry Tree Hill, either way, it is hopefully a source where they can see the whole process germinate.
Lastly, as my friend just put it, it is 'something to create for'. At the end of each day, I knew I would be writing about what advances or fall backs I had that day. So to have somewhat of an interesting blog, I kind of felt inspired, nay, driven, to do what ever I could in that day to report back to this blog, or more importantly, to you my wonderful readers.
Even if I didn't manage to find time to do something, there was always an episode of the Cherry Tree Hill incident to relay. Which I thought worked in nice juxtaposition. The excited entries of a new project on its way to... something, and mixed with memories of nigh five years ago, when last I tried to make a horror feature film.
But tonight, there will be none of that.
Today has been one of those days. One of those days when you wanna scream, cry and get drunk. And I've not even managed any of those.
In the forty plus degree heat of today (that's over 105F to my foreign readers), I had the great pleasure of being not only demoted of my real world job, but also slapped with a pay drop and a reduction of hours.
Nice.
As my brother was kind enough to point out this afternoon, this is usually the way it begins. It's the time honoured tradition of messing up someones finances enough to make them look for a new job. It's like firing someone, without the bad feelings.
But don't fret, dear reader, I only allow one day of moping and it's coming to its pass now. Tomorrow will be the start of three days off, and you'll get all of the gory details daily right here.
There is a lot of promise in the near future...
